“The right outfit doesn’t just change how people see you—it changes how you see yourself. And that changes everything.
I’ve always believed that what we wear isn’t just about style – it’s about how we show up in the world. And for many of us, that story begins long before we ever step into a boardroom or onto a stage.
Mine started in small towns, in church pews, and in dressing rooms where nothing ever fit quite right.
By the time I was 12 years old, I was already 5’9” – tall, lanky, and living in a world where nothing off the rack was made for me. My family didn’t have the means to keep up with fashion trends or shop in department stores.
Instead, my mother sewed nearly every piece of clothing I owned. In hindsight, it gave me something special – original, one-of-a-kind outfits no one else had. But as a teenager, I didn’t want to be unique. I just wanted to blend in, to walk into a store and buy something that fit, like everyone else could.
We moved often - every three to five years. Always the new kid, always trying to find my footing.
I wasn’t the smartest, the prettiest, the most athletic, or the wealthiest. I was just trying to fit in, to be seen without standing out too much. In between classes, I’d shrink myself in the hallways, hoping to avoid attention, even though I physically couldn’t.
On my 16th birthday, my mother took me to Merle Norman for a makeup lesson. The goal, she said gently, was to make sure I didn’t embarrass her. After all, I was the minister’s daughter. I laugh about it now, but that experience marked something meaningful. It was the first time someone other than a family member showed me how to see my face through a different lens. To this day, I remember how empowering it felt to understand how makeup, when done well, could enhance – not mask – who I was.
These experiences shaped everything I believe about image today.
They taught me that confidence is rarely innate – it’s built. And sometimes, it starts on the outside before we fully feel it on the inside.
Deborah is fun to work with. It's like spending time with a friend. She is an expert in taking the beautiful, bare palette that is your face and enhancing everything you love about yourself, whether special occasion, a makeup tutorial or just a desire to change up your look.

I know what it’s like to feel unsure, to not recognize yourself in the mirror, to wonder how to show up in rooms where you feel out of place. That’s why I work with high-achieving professionals who are navigating exactly that. Women who are building businesses, leading teams, taking the stage, appearing in the media – and wondering if their image reflects their influence. Women who are stepping into more, and want to feel like their wardrobe is rising to meet them.
Many of my clients are brilliant decision-makers. They know their worth. They have big visions and ambitious goals. But when it comes to their closet, they hesitate. Not because they lack taste, but because they’ve outgrown what used to work – for them physically, professionally, and even emotionally.
That’s where I come in.
My work blends strategy, experience, and intuition. I’ve spent years studying color, fit, proportion, and visual impact.
But more importantly, I’ve lived the transformation I now guide others through.
I know firsthand what it means to wear the wrong colors, because I did – wearing what my mother liked, assuming we shared the same palette. I know the moment of realization when you finally understand why certain cuts, shades, or patterns never felt quite right. And I know how deeply personal it is to let go of clothing that no longer fits the woman you’re becoming.
When I work with clients, we don’t start with trends or body types.
We start with lifestyle.
- Where are you going?
- How do you want to feel when you get there?
- What message do you want your presence to send before you say a single word?
Together, we create a wardrobe strategy that’s functional and beautiful. Whether we’re working in person or meeting virtually from across the country, my process is always customized.. We start with color and fit, move into your closet to see what’s already working, and build a custom shopping plan that fills in the gaps. From there, I help you plan key looks for professional settings – speaking engagements, networking events, high-stakes meetings, or even your next branding photoshoot.
For women in the spotlight, I offer a head-to-toe approach that includes makeup and hair consultation.
My Merle Norman experience may have started as a birthday gift from my well-meaning mom, but today, I am an award winning, certified make-up artist. I offer women in the spotlight a head to toe approach so they look and feel fully polished – from foundation to footwear.
Over time, this work becomes more than just style – it becomes self-expression. It becomes a mirror that reflects not just how far you’ve come, but who you’re becoming next.
What I love most is watching that transformation happen. My VIP sessions often end with celebration and, more often than not, a few tears. Not because of the clothes, but because something shifts inside. When a client sees herself clearly – without the filters of old stories, self-doubt, or comparison – it’s powerful. Those are the moments that affirm why I do what I do.
This work matters because how we show up matters. Because the right outfit doesn’t just change how people see you – it changes how you see you.
And that changes everything.
